Follow the bottom rad hose to teh engine, the housing that the bottom rad hose slides onto is the therm housing.
R.
IIRC it is two 10mm bolts pull the housing off and replace.

Just wondering ... are there any "better" thermostats to put in here, say ones that open earlier or allow more water flow ....
What's so special about a WRC thermostat?
This looks a fiddly area to fit the Samco water hoses too ...

Just had a ZERO SPORTS Cool Thermo fitted to mine.
My SECS unit now shows the running temp of my car to be between 72-80 degrees, rather than 84-92 (normal running).
So for £45, it does exactly what it says on the tin

Would mean the engine took a long long time to warm up, before it could be used fully, as all the water would be going round the radiator all the time ...
Some restriction IS necessary to speed warm-up, which is them (sort of ) removed when hot ...
So a earlier opening thermostat ( or one with a 1/8 inch hole or two drilled in the flat plate! ) help.
