Which gauges?
I'm toying with the idea of getting some gauges for my scooby but dont know whats what.
I like the A-pillar gauge pods so I might just start with 2 for now.
Which two are the most important and do i just buy the gauges and i plug and play or do i need a kit to install them?
The only one I can think of that I will need is oil temp.

Boost's useful, especially if you start modifying the engine - it can help you identify boost spikes. I went for oil pressure, temp and boost.
Some guages are a direct fit with the appropriate sensor hooked up to the engine, others (like Defi) have the sensors feed a control box that then sends info on to the dials. That lets you monitor peak levels, record a certain amount of data and play it back, set warning levels etc.

I've got boost in the A Pillar and AFR, oil Press, oil temp in the 3 guage pod where the little cubby hole thing is.
All Autometer gauges that match the dash quite well. I bought mine from US so cost naff all! The pod cost almost as much as 3 gauges alone.
