Will it need re-mapped????
A mate with an STI 6 has recently got hold of sum equal length headers, he has a de-cat H&S zorst with de-cat Group A downpipe, also a K&N panel filter.
Question is, is it safe to run the car with the headers on without a re-map?? Or should he get a ECUTek2/3 done asap after fitting??
Cheers dudes

Nope...just standard map, and he doesn't have a knocklink........by what your saying I assume this is also bad?? Do I need to tell him to drive gently till the re-map?
The headers are not yet fitted.

Very gently, it should have been remapped first time round. If you remember this rule...
Any modifications that increase the amount of air allowed into an engine or any modifications that allow exhaust gas to leave an engine quicker ie helping it to "breathe more" will require extra fuel / ignition to make it run safely (correct AFR (air fuel ratio) ) and to make the most of the modifications
