scoobyecu
hi all
iv just got myself a second hand scoobyecu for my95uk.i would like to fit it myself and was wondering if anybody has done this before.
is it just a case of plug the ecu in and go or do i have to get it remapped to suit my car.
how did you go about fitting and is there any hazards i should worry about?
has anybody had any problems by doing this themselves?
thanks in advance

Watch the soft headed screws when you are taking off the cover of the ECU, they are very prone to disintegrating in my experience. I ended up having to drill it out.

Redeye, you have to cut resistor "L1" in order for the piggyback ecu to be recognised.
Skoosh ( installed mine myself ).

I fitted one to mine a few months back.
Check you have the chip the right way. There should be a small cut out on one end of the chip and that should line up with one in the ecu. Also there is a resistor that has to be cut out, the one furthest away from the chip (J1 I think but I could be wrong) someone else will probably know.
Hope this helps.
