has anybody cured overboost?

We've cured it many times.
It is almost always caused by oil in the manifold pressure sensor.
You need to remove the pipes and sensors and clean the lot out with brake cleaner or a similar solvent. Then blow it through with an air line, to remove any debris.
Last thing, lower the oil level to its correct point on the dipstick, to prevent it happeneing again.
