Hello chaps,

I appear to be suffering from the dreaded 'overboost'. I am averaging about 16-18 pound and maxing out on 21 pound (sorry I like PSI rather than Bar!).

My MY98 did this and was crudely 'restricted' with the old brass pipe trick.

I was told by a certain Motorsport team in Canterbury that STI's did not suffer from overboost. Can anyone advise?

Best Regards,

Mark

(Apologies as posted in Drivetrain...but no answers)

Also still have number plate 'W10 WRX' for sale.....best offer over 400 quid please!

The average is ok, mine was holding 1.2 bar steady in standard trim but only peaking to 1.35 ish. A good idea would be to clean the pipework and solenoid through especially the restrictor and see if it gets better. The restrictor can be enlarged but you will lose held boost if you do that. (restrictor in the short pipe from the turbo to the tee piece with the red dot on it)Meantime run on 97 ron p[lus booster for safety.
