Could somebody tell me a good source to buy/get info on the HKS EVC IV?

Why not Nitosport, or David Reid Motorsport?
Nito is a great dude, even though his taste can be described as somewhat "dubious".. Besides...I think he's running one of those in his car now.
Problem with EBC's are that boost is held all though the rev range (IMHO...please correct me if I'm wrong here), I think airtemps from our small turbo (I assume you've got a euro turbo) will rise with that...with possible detting.
The ECU's safety features like reducing boost if the water temp gets too high is outta the window as well.
All this is what I've read, and I haven't tried one myself, so I know naaaathing prolly.

Personally I more prefer Apexi ACV - R, due to you can monitor your engine and turbo condition from the digital screen.
I have my one from UPauto.
Ps. I don't think the boost controller can cure overboost.

Hi Rikki,
I didn't think 95 cars suffered from overboost, are you sure it's the standard ecu in it?
With regards to an evc curing overboost, yes it does. It worked brilliantly on my car and others that have had it. However I don't have much experience with jap imports running boost controllers and I couldn't tell you what level the std overboost protection comes in at on the MY95 WRX model. From what I've seen before it's much lower than later cars at about 1bar on the 95uk cars.
So to be honest you probably won't gain much in performance by fitting one as the fuel cut would come in with the std ecu although it would cure overboost issues. The other problem with jap imports and upping boost with an evc is that the ecu may not be able to compensate (retard) enough in the event of knock like the uk cars can. If you want to raise boost on a jap car then I'd seriously consider a remap, you can use either the evc with a unichip or a link ecu or Apexi Power FC (full ECU-expensive).

Would the Link ECU cure my over boost? Do you know a reliable place to get one or get info about 1? Do you know an approximate price for product and fitting?
Thanks for your help

Rikki,
Bob Rawle from BRD is the person to speak to for all things Link!I don't know the phone no. but they advertise on 22B! I think all in and mapped with knocklink and lambda link it's about the 1k mark.
