Just fitted this to my 96 UK Wagon. WOW. My car now kicks serious *** as the driver of a 540 BMW found out this evening.

Highly recommended and many thanks to Scott who did a great job.

As far as installing it goes I'd say the job is fairly easy as the slot is already there for the chip. However if your ECU has a threaded screw with a rounded off head before you even have a stab at opening it (like mine did!) then the job takes more time than you'd think.

There is allways one that wont come out.. they are threadlocked and quite soft screws..

Grab the screw with wire cutters

or a pair of pliers..

or angle grind the head off

It's normally the top one of the 3 thats a problem. I think these secure an Amplifer IC to the case to aid cooling.
