MY99 fuelling...... strange noises

Who knows a bit about fuelling?
My MY99 turbo has started making strange noises intermittently. When the ignition is turned on I hear a "whooshing" noise in the fuel lines. It sounds like air or fuel. Sometimes it makes a gargling noise aswell? WTF? I can also hear a sort of ticking relay type noise from the throttle body. Is this just the fuel system priming itself or something?
Please help!

My STiV does the same, its the fuel system pressurising up from the pump back in the tank

That's what I thought. Not sure about the gargling noises though??

Mine gargles too... soemtimes and has done for 2 years and the engine only blew up once so I wouldn't worry about it
