My MY00 turbo feels hesitant every so often, even when I'm in the turbo range it can stutter a little bit before flying off into the distance! Is this a known problem?

Wink

Had the same prob and it also occured at constant revs ie going up hill so the engine was working and not coasting. Dealer changed the airmass senser thingy and it got a lot better.

Mine's the same. And everytime I book it into the dealers for them to have a look, it magically fixes itself on the way there, and they can't find anything wrong with it. Bleedin typical.

Fit an AE801 (I think) ECU from MY99. I think people have done it on this board no problems at all.

I read somewhere some dealers were fitting them as a fix to this 'feature'. Crap mapping in MY00 AE802 to meet emission laws.

Cheers

Mark

Just put some power in your car : Unichip, Ecutek, Motec, or an exhaust, ....
Whine was also jumping like akangaroo; now it's modded runs like a bearing...
Also use decent fuel : Shell Optimax or at least 98 (in Belgium)

Hmm... not so sure about the exhaust part.

I've just fitted a full ScoobySport exhaust to my car and it's made the problem about 100 time worse. Part throttle, makes the car hesitate and surge worse than ever.
