Default Crank pulley torque

Hi, what would be the torque setting for the crankshaft pulley bolt on an impreza sti 2004, the Subaru (Ken gilbert) manual says 180nm, is this a bit too much or correct.? Thanks.

Not sure where you read that but the page shown below is taken from the 2004 (UK/Euro/Aus/General) workshop manual section listed here..........
http://ken-gilbert.com/wrx/04impreza/imp04_sec2_4-2.pdf
and shows the tightening procedure and a final torque of 127Nm within 45-60 degrees of rotation

as per the General Description COMPONENT page in the previous section shown below..........

Further reading finds 180Nm in the US workshop manual mechanical pdf listed here.....
http://ken-gilbert.com/wrx/STi_Manual/index.htm

It is also 180Nm for the UK/Euro MY05.....
