Hi guys,

Picked up a new daily wagon yesterday and there's a loud, really annoying alarm type beep when I unlock / lock my car.

I have searched and there's loads of differing protocols for turning it off but none are working.Could someone in the know please tell me the correct way?

It's a 2004 wrx wagon with a standard 'Category 1' alarm.

 

is this not telling you that the boot/door/bonnet isnt closed properly? not usually a loud beep as standard

 

Try this using the keypad for the Sigma alarm.

 

All doors (inc bonnet) are closed and secure when doing it. It beeps twice on locking and then once when unlocking. Video here:

 

Is the Sigma alarm the standard system? Merlin I'll try it now (button 6).
