Default Owen turbos

Any one using the newish Owen GBT range ? thoughts or feed back ?

not sure what raggs was using on his but wasnt much good.

cheers for the reply . it was suggested to me via chevron . Owen developments pushed me their way.

After seeing some of the stuff they have done i wouldn't, but thats a personal opinion of course.

Like what? What have you seen I've used them before and no issues. Thinking of using them again so would like to know what type of things as i would like to be aware

No bud , Im currently in talks with Simon at chevron , I originally wanted the Gen II gt35/82.

He advised that I look at the Owen GTB turbos as the aero and housing design are better than the garret. I just wondered if any one has experience of both .

What build do you have engine wise and what power you looking to go for?

Its a 2.2 cdb stroked to 2.35 and I want high 500's ……

There's a fella on TypeRA forum with one of their turbos, its rotated though. He seems very happy with it and Chevron...

Thanks Lewis that's a very good read, mine also is going to be rotated ……..eventually when I can afford it or when it stops raining which ever comes first

Cheveron use Bob Rawal the mapper to map cars..Bob had pointed me to cheveron, and suggested I buy the FP turbo from them and then he can map it ...however after weeks and weeks if trying to get hold of Simon to get some advise I gave up and did not take my car there...

I have a OD gt3582 hta and can't fault it.. Just been fitted and mapped by bob rawle made 640bhp

It's a 2.5 cdb 14mm head studs kelford cams +1mm valves etc etc cost me close to 40k altogether as its done properly and everything was new

I was advised against the newer one by bob and simon, the original fp black housing is the best. When I bought mine in April there was only one fp black housing left and they were not producing anymore.
Bob ran this turbo on his own car when he had it.
It is hard work to get it to fit you need to chop the block, mine had already been trimmed a bit as I had a gt30 on before this running 527bhp

Yes standard position turbo.. Don't need rotated..
