Hi All

Some tosser decided to try and break into my 99my Impreza the other night and i wondered why the alarm hadn't gone off.

Then i realised that the although the alarm DOES activate, the siren makes no sound.
I've done a search and found that people have had issues with the circuit board/backup battery.

When i disconnected the rechargeable battery and connected a standard 9 volt battery and triggered the alarm the siren worked but on switching off the alarm via the fob the siren kept going.

I'm going to renew the rechargeable battery but wondered if it might be an issue with the 2 Diodes that the circuit board also.

Anyone have any advise ???
