Default Header tank weeping, replace or repair.

I've no idea about his stuff. The header tank is deff weeping from the join, can I replace the seal in between? Or is it a total replacement job?

Any help appreciated guys.

replace it as it’s leaked due to someone splitting it then spraying the top bit crinkle black and then putting it back together with them fancy hex bolts in the first place

A member on here bought one of these refurbed fancy looking headers and it started leaking within a year few years ago

Thanks for the reply Zany much appreciated. Is that header tank a standard 2002 STI tank? Just making sure I know what I need.

Looks like a v5/6 header tanj. Same as mine. The rubber seal in them perishes over time and split never reveals right. Can find who does replacemt rubber seals. I just cleaned it up and a bit of gasket sealant and it' held since

Sorry so you COULDN'T find who does a replacement seal?

Yes mate you just need a standard header tank give him a ring or text

Called Mat and have a (just come off) header tank coming my way. £32 posted cant say fairer than that.
