I have noticed over last week that coolant has been leaking from the cap on the header tank after a hard run .It is over 12 months since the coolant was changed , although I noticed the level was just below the cap exit.

Temperature gauge sits at normal level half way on gauge and cooling fans kick in as normal. Car is 94WRX , do the caps fail?

Any other suggestions as to why it is weeping , all pipes in an out are okay .

Presumably if temp gauge is showing okay engine isnt overheating

test drove about 6 wrx's similar age, 3 of them dribbled coolant everywhere from around the header tank after a hard drive, none of the sellers (dealers) could offer an explanation.
could be down to age possibly, dont know if it is a common fault or whether I was unlucky.

Rog.
