I am going too buy some gauges for me car and was wondering which were more suited Electric or Mechanical?
The gauges will be Boost, Oil Pressure and Oil Temperature.
Also will I need any special fitmetns or senders?

Hi mate!
As you know I have electronic Blitz IDs which come with a live unit control box and various wires going to the oil sender, sump and vacuum pipe for boost.
Both types - electrical and mechanical, usually come with all fittings apart from the sump plug which generally you have to tap in to or we can source for you.

Scooby Regular
I had the same dilemma last year and Mike at Scoobymania sorted me out with electrical senders and ultralite electrical gauges and a pod, looks ace, easy to install and worth every penny....

I've decided to go for the Autometer Ulta-lite Boost(Mech),Oil Pressure(Elec) and Temperature(Elec) , mainly due to the cost!!! I'll upgrade to the blitz, defi or hks at a later date.

The soundest logic I have heard on this matter was mech boost and elec temp/pressure on the basis of the fact that you're not piping oil to the back of the dash with the elec oil gauges. Made sense to me and I went for the Autometer jobbies which look great but the boost under reads by about 2 psi .
