As a new owner of a 99 Impressa Turbo, only 10K miles, I'm not sure what to expect from the brakes. Their standard spec suggests they should be fine but frankly they are no better than a standard family saloon.

How good should they be?

Average is about the best word to describe them, even when working as intended, plenty on here in the brakes section, look there.
