Default V9 or V10

Hi all,

Im looking to get me a scooby for TA and wanted to ask what the difference is between the V9 and V10, is it just cosmetic?

And what would be the best version to buy?

what engine?
DCCD yes or no?

I only have one shot at buying a car and needs to be the right one

Thanks nappa

V9 is the last of the Blobeye shape, AKA Widetrack.

V10 is the hawkeye.

V9 has the 2.0 engine with DCCD, V10 has the 2.5 engine with DCCD (Assuming we're talking STI here?)

2.5 engine has got the infamous reliability issues, but after a rebuild (which you'll be doing to achieve TA power I guess) it'll be fine.

You should have posted this in Scoobynet general. You'll get a better response there. Personally I think a classic makes a better track car as it's smaller and lighter, however if you want something out of the box then a Spec C is certainly a good choice.

I thought the spec c was just cosmetic?

Far from it mate. It's specifically set up to be more track focused. Oil cooler, huge water spray reservoir, lighter and able to take more of a hammering. By the way it's Maz not Gaz.

Not last time I checked

If you're going to rebuild the car then it may be prudent to look for a nice Classic shell and perhaps spec to it your requirements. It all depends on your budget, methinks you have a lot more researching to do.

He raced in clio cup this year tubs. Now wanting to build a ta car. Spec c is the best yes, but going sequential eventually and fully forged won't matter to much what you get.
Dccd box be handy tho as not cheap and when going sequential will need the Dccd unit and various other bits.

Everything say you wanted to order a turbo inlet hose or ancillary hoses again the versions you've stated would be wrong as per Samcos website!
