Default how much hp with my setup? vf37, pauter, wiseco

heey guys,
i am thinking of building a setup i have most parts laying around. But i dont know if it would be a good setup and also i want it to be strong. i am aiming for around 380-400hp at the crank

the car is a ver 3 sti classic.

this is what i got laying around:
EJ205 2.15L short block with:
pauter pistonrods
wiseco pistons
2.5L crank

i want to give it some ej20k v3 heads with some steal camshaft pulays. for 8K RPM
RCM Equel lenght headers
VF37 turbo
i am going to upgrade the injectors soon.

i am also using ver3 gearbox.

how much power do you think this setup will take?

Hi there

Yes this setup should be great as per parts which you are listed, are you will be using ARP headstuds ?

What ECU you will be running?

If ECU you have which will allow to control AVCS then I would go with JDM AVCS heads, they're better suited for VF37 or any Twin scroll turbo

You know VF37 is twin scroll turbo?

This turbo will not make 380-400hp at crank/flywheel,you will need VF36 will make somewhere around 350bhp,but VF37 usually making around 330bhp

Something like SC42 or even SC40 Twin scroll should make 380-400bhp or MDX321H,LM420 etc will make this power

Thanks,Jura

That sounds pretty low compared from what i've heard. Apparently they are a "400hp" turbo yet without running meth, ported housing/headers, etc you may not acheive that but 350+ should be.

Be careful though your gearbox probably won't handle that and the classic gearbox is usually the weakest, if you still want that power level then save up for a 6 speed it will handle it and are a great combination.

Hi there

I've not seen on VF36 or VF37 400bhp on V-power alone,VF36 or VF37 can make around 350-370bhp as most,some guys has made on VF36 or VF37 around 350-370bhp,but 400bhp on standard VF36 or VF37 this I've not seen

Hope this help

Thanks,Jura
