I have a 99 Sport (Engine: EJ20 Applied Model: GF8GKFJ)

Recently I've noticed my CEL has been intermittently coming on & off. I've also noticed that the CEL normally comes on at the same time as I notice a lag in acceleration. It only stays on for a bit and then will go off again.

Tends to happen once the engine has warmed up too, rare for it to appear when it's cold.

The engine has no issues starting up.

Followed the tips here to read the lights and it came up with these two codes:

12 - Starter Signal
22 - Knock Sensor

I've done some searching round the forum but couldn't find anything to specifically help me so thought I'd ask - I'm not really sure what my next steps are or whether there is anything I can do or whether I'm best dropping it into a garage - but I don't have a load of money to spare either.

Anyone got any advice for me?
