Billericay - UK2000
Evening All - I used to be a member back in 2008, when I had a 96 WRX STi - forgot my username though. Got my UK2000 on Tuesday and whilst I'm happy, also gutted.
It's gone in today to have the popping out of 5th problem sorted, and whilst in he's told me I have a cracked exhaust header. So unfortunately I'm going to have to throw some money at it. On top of the gearbox fix.
He can't look at the gearbox till the 9th, so it's 4th gear till then.
All that aside, look forward to meeting you all once I've got all the problems ironed out.
Need to remove the shopping lists on the rear quarters, and also the utterly crap one on the rear bumper which reads "Image is Everything".

Hi mate welcome. Nice car, sorry to hear about the trouble already. Ive used paul at extreme scoobies near chelmsford in the past, am sure he can sort the box.
A couple more scooby mechs that are well known and used are rich at FBTuning (unsure of location) and Neil at slowboy racing near brands hatch.
Good luck and pop down to some meets and say hello

Hello mate and welcome along v car looks nice though sorry to hear about the problems. Worth having a look at the for sale section on here, maybe put up a wanted thread for a header or have a look on eBay. I'm sure someone will have a standard set laying around.
I like the sound of the bumper sticker.

Thanks for the replies all. I managed to weld up the worst bits on the headers. Hopefully be up and running properly in about a fortnight, as long as I don't need a new box. Then get down to the next meet.

Not great news. 1st and 5th synchros are knackered. They're being replaced, the shaft nut was loose as expected. Looking at a bill of almost £750 with Labour gaskets oil and parts. Not much I can do other than pay it, as the box is already out and stripped. Ouch.

Cheers ant. Fingers crossed no more big bills. Will be at most meets after this weekend. I need to do the front pads when I get it back, then that's it hopefully! Look forward to meeting up.

Very true! Can't wait till Saturday though. Still not had the chance to drive her properly. The fault developed as soon as I got the car two weeks ago!
