Default Outside Temp Gauge

My dash outside air temp gauge is only showing 22c and its currently 26c
Where is this located and the plug so it can be tested and replaced, also does this impact or read to the ECU??
Cheers.

I don't know for definite mate, but a lot of cars have them either in one of the wing mirror housings, or in front of the rad.

Cheers Dan, found it, went out to see if I could unplug and test, what a pain to get to!
Anyway now reading 34c then down to 29c and checked with calibrated thermometer and 0.3c out, not bad.
Thought while I was out there check the a/c cooling supply temp at full pelt, supplying at 8c with outside air tem of 29c not too bad either.
Anyway thanks chaps, will keep eye on as it played up after the wash.
