Default Tyre size question

Another probably stupid question:

I currently have 225x45x17 Tyres on 17x7.5 (I think) newage STI alloys

What size tyres do I need to go to if I move to 18x7.5

Then the usual question follows, where is the best price for either Vredestein Sessantas or Toyo T1R's?

Thanks David (the newbie question asker )

225/40/18 and go for the sessanta because they are chunkier and cover the wheel better than the slimmer fitting Toyo. T1R's are good on my classic and Vreddy's are good on my New Age. You can go for 235 Dave but on a 7.5 225 is fine expecially in the Vreddy.

Cheers Stu, would prefer the Sessantas as I like the ones I have now.

Elite are quoting £98 a corner before discount which doesn't seem too bad.

Also do you think I will get away with 18"'s with the coilovers I have fitted, don't want no rubbing

Elites are the cheapest atm. Tyremen will match/beat but they add postage where as elites quote delivered or fitted. Whats the offset IRO 48 on a 7.5 should be fine.

Dont get 7.5s, get 8s and 235's.

Still wont have any rubbing issues, try and get as near to ET48 on the 8 rim though

Don't think the wheels come in 8

If the wheels are et42 how can I get closer to 48? Spacers?
