Another newbie here
Hi, have had scooby for 1 year now; been around on scoobynet for a few months.
Vikki was telling me about the saturday cruises - can I come along? Do I have to speak to anyone in particular about it or is it OK to just show up?
(Plus 2 kids!)
Also wondering if anyone has had any bad experience with house break in/ car theft in this area? Had my house broken into last week, nothing taken except bag with money/credit cards etc but police agreed with my thought that they were after car keys - which fortunately were not in any obvious place.
Anyway, hope to meet some of you soon

Thank you peoples for your kind words - looks like I can't chicken out of it any more then! Will just need a route from someone, as will probably already be in Southend that day as daughter's birthday and have promised to take her to Advenure Island during day, so my plan is to join you somewhere en route
I will be the one looking gormless, with 2 (or possibly more!) kids in tow

We come in to Southend from the Westcliff end & regroup just before the speed camera.
Then we burble all the way along the front past the amusements & over the lights by the Kursaal & double back @ the Thorpe Esplanade roundabout.
Then we try & park near the cafe just before you get to the casino.
And then Nick gets the teas in.
