ICE??
Hi all, i`m looking for some help on how to take my original head unit out of my bugeye I believe the unit is bolted in from behind and i do not want to screw anything up trying to get it out.
I also have replacement speakers for the front(components) and rear(6x9) to go on the shelf. To fit the 6x9`s i would need to fabricate some spacers, to allow clearance for the mid/tweeter?
I just wondered if anyone here has completed a similar type of install? and whether it is an easy job or if i would be better getting it fitted?
I have had a quote of £155 to fit the lot does this sound reasonable?
Hope someone can help me, Cheers Daron.

being careful, gently pull the radio fascia off, this is only clipped in, don't tug it as the heater and aircon controls are fixed to it, once this is off, you will see the chassis held in place by 6 screws, 2 top, 2 mid 2 bottom, take these out and pull the chassis free, again being careful of the wires and aerial lead, simple job and only takes 10 mins

by all means, that's another way of doing that, but if you're careful and don't tug the fascia, it will come off without snapping the clips, but saying that, for someone who hasn't done this before, you're absolutely right, it would be better for them to take the vents out.
I'm only using my own experience of fitting head units and bluetooth kits to newage, so the only wrong thing to do, is to rush the job
