Do you have Nero or something similar?

You must be doing something not quite right baz. CD-r's are more than capable of having photos written to them. Treat them as "write once" don't get involved with multi-sessions.

I don't normally write to cd using windows' own software so can't help you in that regard and I am at work at the moment so can't replicate the process for you and give you any hints. If this hasn't been answered by the time I get home I'll work it out for you

The discs are fine mate. You may have a problem (in that you have to do another couple of steps) if they were re-writable ones but they are not.

I'd stick to v6 to be honest.

Have you figured out what he is doing wrong yet?

Right well, have had to install the software (apparently wasn't before) so had been transfering using windows software

Anyway have installed but can't seem to just write pic album to cd am having to save images seperately a make a video cd!

Is this right as this seems to be taking a long time as most of the albums I'm wanting to save have 100 + pics in them.

Thanks for your help

I personally never bother with all that video cd stuff if i am just backing up.

Simply select the media you are writing too (i.e cd or dvd) then choose to write a data disc you then simply choose which folders you want to add. the little yellow bar across the bottom will tel you how full the disc is.When it gets red you need to remove something.

Thanks for that now I know where I was going wrong, it also came up with this warning...
Nero - Burning Rom has a known compatibility issue with this version of Windows. For an update that is compatible with this version of Windows, contact Ahead Software

I have win xp, do I need to worry???

Strange, I would expect that if you were using a backward-stone age man version of windows but not XP.

Do you have service pack 2 installed (of XP).

It may be best to install a fresh copy of version 7 after all. Do you have the original disc for version 6? Try unistalling and then installing again. It SHOULD work ok

It's worked, have just written 6 albums to the cd no probs.

Yes do have sp2 installed, have original Nero v 6 as it came with the p.c, oh well if I happen to get a copy of V 7 cough cough wink wink then I'll just install that but so far so good.

Cheers Milamber
