Who has changed their springs here
Will be getting a nice set of Prodrive springs for my bug at the weekend, just wondering if it is too much of a job to fit myself.
has anyone done their own ones, and any advice

To get the best from them you will need to adjust your geometry as well
Something Elite are all set up for
I am sure it can be done DIY Style but the geometry can't

I recon by yourself, not knowing exactly what to do your probably looking at a 4 hour job. I could be wrong though!
Good luck mate.

Mark,
I had a friend help me do the first spring, then I done the rest, took around 3-4hrs, would have been quicker with some experiance.
Hope you have proper spring compressors?!?!?
Can't remember exactly what I done as it was years ago, but I know the back seat had to come out to get to the strut tops!
Spray plenty of WD40 on all nuts and bolts the day before you do it, will hopefully make them easier to undo.

To be honest, if I didnt have John (IVE595) to show me how to do the first one, then I think I would have paid someone else to do it!
It's fairly straight forward on paper, but when you actually come to do it yourself, there are always problems. Spring compressors are a must!!
For a Scoob specialist to do it who have all the correct tools, spanners, knowledge and experiance, it is a run of the mill task and won't take long.
