remap
hi all...only got my first Subaru this this year so just learning stuff at the moment so my questions may seem ridiculous
I've currently got a spec d with ppp and a little sticker saying 316bhp but earlier in the year I had another spec d with just a decat and a light remap(no ppp) which was a lot quicker not just to me but others too....could I just get a remap on my car now to give me abit more power as I believe the prodrive exhaust has a decat on my current car?...thanks...dave.

You will defiantly feel the difference mate its not just the 30 or so bhp you need to look at, torque is more the figure you need to look at mate and if you do a few mods and take it to a good mapper you should see some good torque figures and defiantly feel a difference.

Hi brad....yeah there both sti's but the fella I got this one off was telling me its got a 2grand ppp fitted??...so im thinking now well whats the point when you could get an open source remap or ecutek remap for a fraction of the price....I no hes obviously trying to sell the car but the previous owner was the one who got it installed...why not just get decat an remap....like I said in first thread that might sound stupid to use but not me... ppp vs open source or ecutek?

It's a money making thing for Subaru when they are new. You can choose to have this as an optional extra from factory so people tend to when new rather than driving from brand new to then fiddling with bits and getting An aftermarket remap, a ppp is got But obviously it's limited

ahh right....but if it aint brand new then it would be a waste of money getting a ppp on a used car due to the cost and what you get for that money?

Hawkeye ppp still have the std catted downpipe. Your best option is look for a ppp sportcat that came on blobeye and bugeye ppp that way youll still pass mot. But you will need to map the car to run the sportcat so plan it out
Panel filter k&n is usually best of the bunch
Ive a Spec d running 330bhp on std downpipe but have a ppp sportcat waiting to fit when I can get squeezed in for map tweak

hopefully itd put it up around 340-350bhp, but the torque increase would be a lot greater probably up around 360-370lbft
thats on 97RON fuel as im in N.Ireland
bit more info on your PPP kit here:-

350 is possible yes
you want ppp sportcat like this
https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-parts-451/988756-ppp-sports-cat-downpipe-decat-mid-pipe-newage.html
or if you can go full decat but you wont get through mot emissions with full decat
