Default 7d scoobyecu chip/daughterboard????

Hi all
I have got myself a 7D ecu (4 plug) with a red scoobyecu.co.uk board fitted and plugged it in to find I now have a red light on my dash, not check engine light looks like and exhaust light ish. Don't know what it is, also the car drives a bit lumpy now and cuts out at 1 bar ish. Now it's not boosting at all 0.3 at best. Am I ment to change anything els?? I have put my original ecu (8s) back in for the mo. any ideas what map these chips have. Injectors, turbo, ect.

Now befor you start I know an esl or apexi ect would be best. But haven't got the funds at the mo and this ecu was cheep.

Thanks

The 7D is a 4 plug ECU, the 8S is a 3 plug ECU, so you can't have interchanged them.

The scoobyecu will probably be close to the Z4 or 6K with slightly elevated boost, it is unlikely but anyone with an EPROM programmer could potentially have changed values to an unknown state.

If the stock U8 runs your car ok then a scoobyecu board with the correct image should in theory work. Check it is firmly seated in the carrier socket/try it in a different motherboard.

as above double check the board is pushed fully into the ecu and that there are no pins missing or bent. Check your ecu plugs also. if your u8 is working fine then after that its not looking good im afraid.

is this the one from ebay?

taken from the auction description:

"... and has been remapped prior to me owning it. I bought it to put on my track car, but it is now surplus to my requirements ..... I don't know what it has been mapped at, but i'm sure it is suitable for big BHP,...."

which to me means:

I bought this ecu with chip, I cant get it to work properly and now and selling it on.
