Default Which sportcat?

Hi all, last thing on my shopping list to get hold of before I sort out my re map is a sportscat down pipe and the de cat mid pipe. No problems finding them but can I get a few recommendations? I would say my budget for them is around the £300 mark. Or is that no good? Im not sfter anything too loud tho, my prodrive backbox is about right sound wise. it will be running on a blob wrx with standard turbo. Cheers for any pointers

When I had my blob wrx I got a prodrive sti downpipe and centre decat used, it never gave any issues at mot time and I got what I paid for it when I sold it on.

I've got a sti Prodrive downpipe also, for my 05blob Wrx. Paid 80 quid for it second hand. Not loud with Prodrive back box on either.

Thanks for that. Sounds about right for me then as I don't want it too loud. The new ones I've been looking at have a 'track use/off road use only' notice with them. Is that just a**e covering due to the new MOT rules? Il get looking for the prodrive ones tho now. Cheers

I know some sports cats can be a bit of a struggle to get through mot time, but if they are nicely warmed up should be ok. The Prodrive one is designed for the road, but the track version sounds like a decat type or a cheapo one which won't stand a chance on emission test. Cheers Phil

Just re-reading this post, didn't realize a used DP was on offer.

Hibbs - if the OP isn't interested in your DP I might be.

Does it include the mid-pipe? If so, could you email me some pics?

Thanks,

Dave
