Default Fuel pump priming

On my 97 classic I noticed the other day that someone previous before me has bridged the a wire so the fuel pump runs constantly when ignition is on.Its been done in the drivers foot well. Does anyone have any pin outs or know what controls pump on the uk2000 I'm happy to get a picture if that helps

Relevant section for MY97 UK turbo2000 fuel pump wiring

Fuel pump relay (B46) has a green plug and is situated as shown below against the forward bulkhead next to the main relay (B47)

Will probably have been done because the fuel pump relay has failed or the relay in the alarm that cuts the supply to the fuel pump has failed. I believe the Heater fan and fuel pump use the same type of relay so can be swapped to fault find.

No relays are cheap as chips!
I'd leave it like that, looks a proper professional job does that, with proper black tape and bare wires

I would checkout the fuel pump controller and see if the wireing is as should be.
I think it's under offside rear seat on the classic which I have no experience with by the way.

it'll be at the back of the car, from memory, on the newage it's a flat box with five or six black/black white wires running to it. That controls the pump on/off normally, clearly isn't operating for some reason.

I've not seen any thing like that.my relay is rattling around and is very rusty. I had a leaking window screen a few months ago could have caused it

No fuel pump controller in a classic and if its still running with it removed that's cause its bypassed anyway. Would'nt matter about it being rusty as its been bypassed.

Looks like an inertia switch but I don't think they have one.
