Used ones go for the same and sometimes more than new ones. Go to www.enduringsolutions.com and have a look at the prices. I have it, can't recommend them enough. I'm sure Andy Stevens will be along soon

The whole tweak thing isn't true. If the board goes in a different car then you will be looking at a complete remap.
It costs more to get a secondhand one remapped as the distributor will have to charge the board trade price difference on top of the normal mapping fee.
It's often more expensive to buy secondhand and you won't have the warranty etc.

It's £295 + 20% VAT if in the UK. If you are buying as a VAT registered business then it can be reclaimed, a full VAT invoice is issued.
If in the EU and you can provide a valid EU VAT number there is no tax.
No tax to the rest of the world, although there may be import duties to pay depending on where it is going.
Our turnover is way over the VAT threshold so have no choice but to charge it to domestic customers I'm afraid.
I always try to help as much as I can as I know owning a modified scooby isn't cheap, so we run deals like discounting the cable dongle and software by 50% when purchased with a board, and offering a discount on the Motorsports package etc etc.
Best to PM me if you want one and I'll sort out the best deal possible.
Cheers
Andy

I haven't got/had it plugged in yet, I was going to send it off to have the board took out the uk ecu and put in my 1s and rest to standard, then was gonna take it to have mapped, where did you start reading up on the esl system and how to use it,it a shame you don't live nearer to me lol,
Andy why would I have to pay the mapper extra, you said it's the price of the map + trade price of the board? Could you break down the pricing please

I think if Andy could fit it in, you should send both ECUs off to Andy and let him remove and reinstall to the other ECU and flash it with a standard 1S map. If I remember right Andy charges £25 to install a new ESL board to an ECU so maybe it'll be about £50 to have your work completed.

My friend John who owns East Coast customs here in Northern Ireland told me about ESL and advised it was the best way to go for my 97 UK turbo. After that I googled it and came across this forum and ESLs website. Once I had talked to Andy a bit I just stuck the order in and read the user manual for the software. That's what I'd advise you to do for now and decide if it's gonna be something you'll be comfortable with. It's not for faint hearted! Link to user manual:

yea i messaged andy cuple week before i got the board, and yea swap board to mine and reset, but the thing is ive got a v2 sti cdb longblock in my 97 using my 97 sensors ecu everything, so if i had it reset and flashed to my 1s it still may not run right obv the cams will be different,so would i get it flashed to my 1s or whatevers in the v2 sti which i know is 4 plug mine is 3, i enjoy tinkering with the car but eager to lean bout the ecu as it would save alot in the long run+ i think img going to need a map thats had a lot of fiddling because of the engine ?

matthewturb2000 I hope you get it sorted in the end mate . You say you was going to read about mapping and do it your self . Go for it how hard can it be if you have done your homework. But I got to say it's not something I would do myself, but that's me . If you think you can then y not . You could start up your own mobile mapping lol.
