on my newage the interval is 2 years or 20000 miles whichever comes first,
bleed via the nipple on the pipe while someone else is pushing the pedal down.

there are 2 nipples 1 by the res and the other in pipe behind intercooler.
i cleaned the res out with some clean cloth to remove all old fluid then filled with new, then kept bleeding until rfesh fluid came out of the nipple and topped res back up again

yes mate get some one to push pedal down while nipple is open close nipple when pedal is on the floor, lift pedal back up and start the process again.
not 100% sure this is the way subaru say it should be done but it was the only way that worked on mine without having an inch of free play in the pedal
