I have a 97 turbo impreza with a oe sti/prodrive back box which is slightly louder than the oe uk twin tail pipe but what will the difference be if I add, say a magnex centre de-cat pipe? LOUD! MEDIUM LOUD! or slightly louder! personaly I am hopeing just slightly louder as the sound of a full de-cat impreza is an amazing sound but a bit too loud for me. What have you got that is similar? and what sort of bhp/torque may I gain? The car is running 1500 bhp on standard internals at the mo, will the de-cat give me an extra 1000 bhp and be reliable? Nah only joking,was thinking more along the lines of 500 bhp extra

Centre de-cat will make it slightly louder, but not tremendously so - back box is the biggest influence on volume levels IMHO. If you replace it with a resonated magnex centre, it will probably not be louder at all.
