underdriven pulleys?
is it worth swapping from Stock MY00 pulleys to the underdriven type?
pro's

Please; enlighten me
(btw- lots of other performance mods already on the car before I get told to get a decat instead

I have recently fitted a set (GFB's which are underdriven) TBH I havent' noticed any difference regarding the Power Steering/Alternator charging etc, but I honestly do feel that they have helped the engine pick up a bit quicker!
I am running the standard flywheel tho, so I suspect if you run a lighter Flywheel the effect would be even more noticable
Expensive mod, but as my engine bay is a little bit bling, I felt they were necessary for aesthetics more than anything else!

Lol at Pickle, bling, er you
Brad, fitted a set to Alan Bells car at the weekend, and drove it afterwards, not a massive difference, but certainly felt to have a little sharper throttle response.
In all the work i have done on Alans car, on a scale basis, they were and absolute bastid to change. Whoever put his crank pulley on was a gorrilla (car in 6th gear, handbrake as tight as it would go and me at the end of a 2ft stong bar and the car still fecking moved, i need Emma stood on the brake pedal, and one of my moments of bad temper before it came off
), the power steering pulley was a ****, and the alternator pulley was an absolute f3cker!!
They did look nice though

Think Scoobyclinic (where he got them from i think) offered to fit them for him for £20, take them up on it

Steven
(I have still got your old Blitz filter fitted to the car, all be it tucked away in a nice airbox)
Chrome, I bought mine from GGR in the end, as they were the cheapest for the GFB's. TBH though, all the other suppliers were in and around £15-20 of each other.
Roger Clark do the non-underdriven versions, but IIRC they are a little bit more ££'s

Expensive.
Not sure any performance gain is measurable.
If replacement belts are subsequently required they may not be off the shelf.
Harmonics crank pulley designed by Subaru is junked.
Look good.
Reduce the car weight a couple of kilos.
Take weight off the front of the crank as well as the rear if you have a lighter flywheel.
They are expensive (mine came from Australia, first time and Rich Wild/Jap Innovation for WRX last time)
I reckon less load on the engine has to be a good thing.
Steven you wimp.
Porridge for breakfast and a sudden, violent explosion on the end of a long tube over your bar and the thing will go with a crack. Locking the engine solid is the key to success.
