Exclamation FAO APS DR500 front mount users

For anyone using this front mount kit you will know the hoses that are of the worst quality in the world

The first one being the one that comes off the turbo and onto the hardpipes!! Well this one split on me a few months back and i have now made it up in Samco with a bit of chopping and came up with a better solution

Now the second hose! The one that goes around the battery and into the inner wing, yep thats decided to blow apart with a 6" split. Now this one being a little more complex with its funny angle and flat bit on it was going to be a bit harder to make in Samco

So i've decided to instead of getting a supplier to source me one from APS with a 2 week lead time and £130,,, and thats without the good old guys at Roger Clark being constantly in touch with APS until they came up with the right pipe (another week)....... I've decided to send the pipe off to SFS and get one made which is far better quality and can hold a bit of boost

So now i'm in the process of getting the tool made up these can be rolled off when needed instantly and be far better quality for the same price if not cheaper

SFS can be found here http://www.sfsperformance.co.uk/ and make hoses for the likes of Peugeot WRC, Ford motorsport & Prodrive

and are better than Samco and are 4ply

LOL Don't you mean rubber (in APS's kit) the new one will be silicon

I think Simon may of meant to actually get the hose made in stainless as an easier option, but to be honest i think it is easier this way, maybe a little bit more expensive but better in the long run

Thanks
Scott

I don't intend to take work from SFS but Samco already have the tooling for the APS DR500 connection hoses except the nasty turbo outlet one that we have discussed before. The only problem is they take some time to deliver...... I replaced the intercooler inlet & outlet plus the two that come through the wings when mine was installed as I didn't like the APS variety.

Cheers,
Callum

Just got hose back today and its now fitted not really the best conditions to try the car out though! Compared to what i've been driving all i get now is cold damp roads and 4 wheel drifts

At least it feels fast again i won't need to feel the urge to find more power for another 24hrs
