fairly urgent up-pipe question
Do uprated (i.e. aftermarket replacement) up-pipes come as one type only -
i.e. do the new-age ones also fit classics ?
I've just received one and I'd like to confirm it'll fit on my 98UK (even though it says new age on the invoice) before I take the car apart
Oh- and theres no cat (obviously)
Cheers,
Mark

The one I've bought does have though....
Its a solid pipe, which a chap I know is going to fit ... But I was a little concerned that at the 'new age' label - I'd been told it's a de-cat pipe, but I'm pretty sure that the classic has no cat anyway..... (I'm replacing it 'cos mine has a small hole in it - and small holes get bigger )
Cheers,
Mark

Yes it will fit your MY98, the EGT probe boss thread is 12x1.25mm and is great for fitting an EGT probe.
If you have trouble getting a bolt to fit let me know as I have a box full.

They'll probably only have 12x1.5 which is std metric pitch, 12x1.25 is metric fine.
I have used Namrick (http://www.namrick.co.uk/browse.asp?PCID=9) for nuts, bolts etc that I can't get locally, reasonably priced and don't charge a fortune for P&P (small package are £1 + cost of stamps).
