i am in in kenya, and i am thinking of ordering a de cat downpipe from the uk. i have already done a diy centre section decat. im sure no one in this country knows how to replace the downpipe, is it a tough job or not. instructions anywhere on the net?
also, will a usa spec my99 2.5RS have the same MAF sensor as a uk spec my99 imp turbo? i have a friend in the states who can get most parts cheap and i am thinking of replacing the MAF sensor. or do i need to order the part from the uk?

Not too bad, best part of an afternoon's work.
1. Remove intercooler. (just a few jubilee clips and a couple of bolts)
2. Remove all the bolts from around the heat shield covering the turbo. And remove the heat shield.
3. Remove the lambda sensor.
4. Remove all the bolts securing the DP to the turbo. Some of these can be a bit tight, so it's worth dousing them in WD40.
5. Disconnect the DP from the centre pipe
6. Remove the 2 mounting bolts for the DP and remove DP
It's a good idea to douse all the bolts on the heatshield (and the exhaust if accessible) with WD40 the night before you plan to change the DP.
When fitting your new DP, you'll probably have to chop up the heat shield to make it fit. Make sure you do fit it though, as it's tempting to not bother, it is there for a reason.
DP to Turbo gaskets generally can be reused, though they're not expensive to replace. Do not use exhaust paste between the turbo and the downpipe as this can knack your lambda.
Cant help with the MAF question though.
