Basically, I am looking to decat my P1, I've had a search through some old posts, but can't find anything that really helps.
Now, I know there are various options here, ie. complete system from a.n.other supplier or backbox from one + mid/downpipe from another...
But, would I be better to go with one manufacturer or have you guys come up with good mix & match setups?
Any examples, please??
It will be combined with an air induction kit too, to help the engine breathe..
But ultimately I am not looking to make the car sound like a dragster, I appreciate to a degree noise increase is unavoidable...
Please help me!
Thanks in advance, Alex

Gary C,
OOOOOooo i'm confused... just continued to read through the past posts on this subject...
As far as induction kits go, yes, I was going to get the full SS changes (ie. ITG induction kit, think I right by saying that ..hmm), bar the back box.. just because I prefer either dual pipe or oval exhaust systems as IMHO they fit the lines of the car better... but I s'pose the real issue is will it work in roughly the same manner as the SS BB perf wise...
But who knows, the other issue will be track days, I don't wanna make too much noise, ie over the allowed limit.. oh, and my neighbours!
Anybody got pics of the 6x4" on a scoob?
Yours, totally in a muddle, Alex

Mr Evil
Why not try the new Scoobymania system, it was only released last week. I can confirm that it is nothing short of stunning. Superb sound and a very noticable difference in performance over my last system.

Doc.......
I fitted the S.S.Magnex straight thro' (no silencer) Mid section ( from road runner ,nottingham .... ,i believe about £99)
Before i could handle the power in the wet , now i have to be a little bit more careful....! Ooops
Well pleased with it ,good quality and fitment.

Alex,
I have UK MY99 with Falkland down pipe, magnex center with resonator, and magnex round back Box with a blitz induction kit, 245 BHP at POWERSTATION today.
The Blitz induction kit noise is not to intrusive, and barley audible when cruising, & the magnex with resonator and round tail pipe is a lot quieter than the res-less one with oval tail pipe.

Thanx for the input people,
I spent hours reading the previous posts on this subject on Friday (probably should have done some work instead but hey ).
Well, I bought the Magnex 6x4" bb, and the sound is great! not sure about the performance (ie. worse/same/better) than the STi pipe I had on before, but we'll see...
From what you've all said, and other posts, either the Falkland or SS downpipe is next on the list.. and the magnex mid section as well... as for BB, I think I'll try a few out before deciding... apart from the sound, one of the major pluses about the 6x4 is the look, seems to really suit the lines of the car
My neighbours have already noticed
Mr Cookie, I've told you before mate, I didnt spend 7 years at Evil medical school to be called Mr!
Thanx to all
Alex
