I've been having a prob with MY00, it seems to be hesitant in the 3 - 5k range(NON-TURBO please don't laugh) had the 3 year service done on the car back in September. Been filling it up with 'cheapo' Tesco fuel and it seems that it could be this that has caused it, bloody crap low octain, also the scoob drinks this rubbish. Could it just be dodgy fuel? , gonna whack some optimax in it tom to see if it cures it. Or is it a trip to my Subaru dealer, have the extended warrenty at hand.

Thumbs down

Could well be duff fuel but could also be oxygen sensor. This would also explain the high fuel consumption.

It could be ...

Oxygen sensor
MAF
Coil
HT leads
Plugs
Dodgy fuel

The list is endless. Use the extended warranty like I did with my MY99 Turbo.

Subaru replaced an Oxygen sensor, MAF and ECU (not too sure why) but it fixed the problem. Still hesitates and misfires a little when very cold if you 'boot' it too soon, but get the engine/Turbo warm and she's fine.

Thankx Chaps, going to fill up with optimax first to see if it is the fuel, if not gonna get it to a dealer for a good seeing too.
