Hi All,

I am looking for info on putting a 2.5l into my STi7 (current engine is blown). I am not looking for monster power.

Does anybody know if you can use the US 2.5 STi sub assembly, alternatively who are good guys to chat to to source a 2.5 sub assembly.

Thanks,

Simon

Sorry to hear about that!!

I don't have information for you on this one, but I am sure there will be plenty of others who will!!

I am curious though, what has happened to you existing engine? Was it UK, EU or JDM model car? What mods...??

Forgive me, but I have an 18 month old UK STI7 and am curious as there has not been any mention of STI7 engines going bang since around Christmas (to my knowledge) and now we have another....

Cheers

Simon

Sorry to hear your bad news. If you are looking a complete sub assembly then speak to Simon at Roger Clark Motorsport Tel. 01455 828610. He deals with a company in the States who have these available as units with standard crank, rods & pistons fitted

The blown engine was stroked to 2.2 using an MRT kit. It seems almost certain that the problem was running too lean (although not lean enough to knock) as a result of running the standard fuel pump.

Callum, do you have an email address for Simon at Roger Clark Motorsport ?

Cheers,

Simon

Really sorry to hear that!! Is it a UK car then? If so, presumably no PPP...

I bought my 2.5litre from perFOURmance motorsport in australia, have been running it since feb 2002 and experience no problems with the engine.
