MY98 STI been running fine until just now. last driven on Saturday, just taken it for a quick blast to find it has developed an occaisional misfire under positive boost, almost as if its momentary fuel starvation or very sudden cut out, only last the briefest of time but really annoying. Any ideas? All replies gratefully received.

Possible :

Coil packs breaking down
Plugs or leads 'leaking'

Fuel pump or filter

Injector prob

ECU prob

MAF sensor prob

Do a self test on the ecu, plugs under dash, plug together to get flashing check engine light...count the flashes to determine the code.

Perhaps someone with the codes etc can post 'em up for you, I aint got them, sorry.

Best o' luck

ps...I had the same a while ago, turned out to be a plug lead on the plug end was not pushed 'home'
