H L Gorner (Wigan) goes in to receivership
Hi all
Just a quick heads up... was due to have my 1st 1 year service next friday at the new HL Gorner subaru place in Wigan. Got a call a few minutes ago saying they cant take any new jobs as they are in receivership and the administrators are in. Just thought some may like to know and just incase anyone had paid them for anything and not had parts etc yet.
Just need to find a dealer to service me now :/
Edit: Managed to get slotted in at the Widnes dealership (Holdcroft)... seemed a nice chappy... anyone any experience of these guys?
Cheers
Allan

I live just down the road from Gorners and called in the other day for details about an 06 WRX wagon.
I used to use Monks Heath near Macclesfield. They were always fine with my 99 wagon.

Service Manager at Holdcroft in Widnes is a really nice guy but....without me being accused of slander or otherwise, I can't say too much about the mechanics! All I can say is I have had dealings and would not go back again!

oldmanmille you have pm .... I should point out my car is a MY05 Sti and came with the free 3 years servicing so none subaru dealers are a no no for me atm as see no point in passing on the 3yrs free servicing.
edit : Prosport is authorised repairer according to subaru webby... wonder if they would accept the 3 yrs free servicing voucher or whether it needs to be a dealership?
