nigel the owner has sold up but still owns the land we are now owned by f.s stenton who own amersham audi but they are selling that back to audi and concentrating on subarus.
simon the new boss is going to be total vamping the place up parts and service will be moved to the showroom although you will still be able to come down and see us and the workshop will be totally refitted with new ramps air piping oil tanks the lot. there is also an increase in loan cars from 3 to 8 to get more people in.
every one is still there including me we do have a new face as service manager as big fat clive left in august. as for new jobs there is a technician job available but they are mainly looking for new people to run the old adams site in mk when they have finished doing that one up as they now own that as well. they are also looking at opening a brand new site in gerards cross and another subaru site in south oxfordshire somewhere.

Thumbs up

Will we still get the same excellent service and reasonable prices? Was well chuffed with my 20k service at CCV and at a sensible price too... Well worth the 30 mile trip up to Hailey (sp). Lancaster were cr@p and over-priced IMHO... Might give your new branch a try though when it opens, somewhere near to Didcot hopefully

Cheers

Jim

Scoobyboy: Pleased to hear you are ok with your job, just a bit surprised to hear the news.

Maybe they will buy you a set of new overalls to go with the new corporate image

I hope the prices remain competitive.

we have incresed our labour times by £5 so we are marginally more expensive than we were. no idea though on when the new one will open but the boss isn't one for dragging his heals and yes we got new outfits not overalls but a sort of jacket and trouser thing. not got them yet but i'll be glad to get rid of those overalls

Scoobyboy - good to hear someone at my local dealership is also a ScoobyNetter. I'm in for a 10k service imminently - wouldn't mind the chance to put a face to a name when I'm there (if we haven't already met when my silver STi8 grenaded a monkjack?).

Thanks, mate! And the sensor is the business for getting it in tight top the wall (I have bl**dy tight parking spot 'cos the lady next door parks like she's visiting Tesco!).

You might have seen my other thread on oil. What's your thoughts on that? Go with your standard Magnatec 10w40, or supply my own fully synth stuff? It'll only have to last 3 months in there, but will do the full 10k miles.
