They have lost or given up their Subaru franchise and are Mitsubishi only they told me today.

A damn shame as they were the best dealer in my area.

Red face

I had a letter from Subaru informing me that Mill Lane were no longer dealers.

Does anyone know why?

One of the best dealers I've ever used! No issues with them at all and I can be very difficult!!!

I stop using them as I was doing two return trips to Basingstoke from Surrey each service!!!

Where is the next nearest dealership? Not SGTs or B & C.

Is it true that my warranty will be invalid if I get the service done by a non Subaru garage?

Thumbs up

Lancaster Pangbourne or Concours Haselmere, not used either so can't comment, (I always drive to TH White Cirencester - top dealers),
As for the warranty question, I think has to be Sub dealer to maintain.

Cool

What a shame Mill Lane have finished with Subaru-I always had great service on my RB5 from those guys. Am now using Lancaster Pangbourne and have to say that so far they have ben really good. They offered to collect the car to help with the distance thing and everything went smoothly. I am reserving judgement until I use them a few times but early signs are promising!
Will keep y'all posted!!

Question

Yes, big shame this as Mill Lane have done ALL my servicing - had one or two issues BUT generally very good and fair!!

Lancaster, Pangbourne???? Bollocks to that!! You need to leave your shirt as you leave - they fleese you good and proper!! were always 25% MORE expensive than Mill Lane!!!

Sparsh1ts??? Ha Ha Ha Ha - good god, a worse dealer I would hate to meet ............ I only had 2 hours dealing with their Sales Manager of 3 years ago - what a complete plank he was! rude and abnoxious ...... swore that I would NEVER give them a penny!! By all accounts they are completely cr4p at servicing too!!

I bought my car from Simpsons of Swindon and have had some warranty work done there - they seem ok ... a long drive BUT at the saving over Lancaster, Pangbourne - its probably worth the run out!

Mill Lane closing has bloody cheesed me off . See they are still listed on the Subaru web site!

I need to get a service on the wife's Forester T, Lancaster's is out as I don't like them. SGT's is in the wrong direction unless I spend my Saturday morning their (Oh Joy!)B&C's are miles away. Now where? Even Mill Lane wasn't that close from Sandhurst, but I need a service. Oh bugger

Question

Is the warranty condition that the car needs to be serviced, 'In line with the manufactures recomendations'? If so, Mill Lane could satisfy the conditions surely?? Same staff, Subaru parts, same schedule as before .......... just even cheaper prices, maybe?

Pban same problem as me, B&C is a right pain journey wise (live in the same town as you !!) getting fed up with Lancaster, as the car went in twice before with clutch judder and a noisy front diff..and only now after I insisted they get the I.M. 'expert' out are they going to replace it.

Mill Lane was an obvious choice, and the guy in parts was very helpful when i was looking for suspension parts.

Mill Lane said to me that our warranties will be invalid if we get our cars serviced by a garage which isn't a official dealer. This was the info given to them from IM. Can't see them turning away business unless thats absolutely true. Makes getting a service a pain in the **** for us. Is this the truth? What is the mail address/telephone number for IM, I want to phone and ask for clarification. Also will ask where they suggest I go for a service!

Paul

Still feeling well cheesed off
