IE10 Windows 7 and Flash!
The past week I have updated from IE9 to IE10 - A definite up grade from chrome , but I have this issue with flash add-on , I can't get it to enable . I have entered tools an d manage add-ons etc etc but nothing works . I have removed IE10 and reinstalled , I have removed flash and reinstalled . Still flash not enabled .
I am considering a reformat and windows 7 reinstall , but want to avoid.
Any ideas ?

chrome was great when it came out. nice simple browser that handled all the data correctly and it was fast and not resource heavy according to my IT mate it communicates in different ways. fast convergence or something like that. ether way its crap now. i dont know how it managed to get worse but it slowly has
its unsecured as well and is banned at work so im back on firefox.
it is however still better than IE10 by a fair way

My work bans chrome, and firefox and safari and if we're lucky we'll upgrade from IE6 sometime this year
I still like chrome, but that's because I'm too lazy to change

I work for Government authorities so certainly relate to highly restricted networks. My comments based on any type of browser and associated security flaws, to the point of banning it, sounds quite strange. Your security is normally based around that of your network / comms infrastructure (i.e. hardware), rather than the use of any type of mainline desktop browser being an issue in itself.

The MOD bans the use of all untested browsers within certain networks, not because they are flawed, but because they only have finite resources to allow them to test and integrate them and also to confirm the operation of any web based/hosted apps that are in use by the various business units. That is the reason why they remain on IE6 and are taking such a long time to upgrade to IE8

yes there are all sorts of firewalls and the like but they still want to make the pcs themselves secure as possible.
im not great with big networking and the complicated stuff but im thinking you cant stop everything with firewalls and severs? viruses and hackers are often going to mask there activity as genuine programs, scripts and data movements?

No problem if you're not party to that info.
Firewalls and desktop AV are one of the key areas of security. Other areas like desktop policy also support the security.
I'm not aware of any flaws in the browser than can cause a high enough impact, hence my interest into why another organisation classes it as a security risk (purely for interests sake).
