Default confused

the wife in here infinite wisdom decided to clean the keyboard on her net book
i do wish she had turned the chuffing thing off first.
so the following has now occured ..
f key goes directly to help ..
g key opens the find facility..
h key time and date are displayed ..
fn key is a back slash..
back space only goes back one at a time
found all of this all happen in notepad etc BUT if you have a password with the above letters in they wont work as the letters ..
so i presume she has switched on some form of sticky key or whatever shortcut etc. but it works with a normal keyboard attached via usb.
have tried all the obvious holding down certain keys and looking at the win 7 shortcuts ect but alas no further forward.
so for my sanity any ideas ..
thanks in advance.

have tried all the obvious things to look at, did a keyboard check on notepad and that's how I realised that here was an issue.
used the shift key and it changes case all ok. I did plug a keyboard in to it via usb and all worked ok. so it does make me wonder if there is an issue with that keyboard.

Sounds like it's the windows key that it thinks is stuck down. The one with the Windows logo on it. Normally tapping it a few times is enough to sort it out

CTRL keys seem to be working ok, if I try to replicate the keystrokes on my machine no matter what I do alt or ctrl key i cant seem to get the same results, starting to think maybe the keyboard has an issue now..
