Xbox 360 fails again...and again...and again....
Why is it that I get through an Xbox 360 more or less every 12 months?
Powered it up last night to watch the football through my Sky player and once again I had the RROD.
That's now 8 that have died on me.
Why can't Microsoft sort this S**T out!!
So if anyone has an Xbox 360 lying around that they do not use feel free to drop me a PM

I've had one RROD on me after 12 months of ownership, but I bought it second hand so knew it was a few years old already. I've not had any issues with the 'Elite' I replaced it with and it gets a decent amount of use between me and my son, I just make sure its well ventilated when in use so it stays cool. Do you keep yours in a Tv unit or on the carpet or somewhere that could be causing them to overheat? 8 in a row makes me think theres something else going on which is making them go pop!

Kept on a shelf on its own. Up off the floor so has plenty of ventilation.
They do get some hammer thought yet my original Xbox/Playstation/Playstation 2 all had the same amount of abuse.
I had them for years and never had an issue.
Lets just hope when the new Xbox comes out they last longer than the 360's do!

You must be doing something wrong. I've had two. Neither have let me down ever.

My PS3 died after about 4 years of heavy usage. Attempting a laser & deck replacement when the part gets delivered. Wish me luck.
Either way I am going back to PC gaming as console still sucks for FPS imho.

Ive had my ps3 about 3 years, chugs along quite nicely. I did have a 360 but it went pop after a year, microsoft wasnt very helpful about it (i had one of the first so when it first started going pop, MS wasnt the best help) so left them for sony.
