Default Crysis 3 - A Game Changer Graphically. (Large Image Warning)

Hi folks,
Thought some of you gamers may appreciate a few stills from Crysis 3.
Loving this game, its more like being in an interactive movie than a game sometimes but beware - its a real PC killer and needs serious hardware to play at max graphical level!

These are real gameplay stills, not from movie cut scenes.
To see this animated is incredible - the stills really dont do it justice at all. Its truly amazing.

All links are to the originals on my server so click the top bar of each to see them at full resolution.

I'm just happy this thing uses my crappy amd 3850 properly I was surprised it runs so well on my 7870 gpu, not as well as yours but still looks super pretty that I keep stopping in game to look around and admire the scenery.

For a laugh I set everything to maximum, ok it wasn't buttery smooth but it was playable.
Still didn't look as nice as Stu's for some reason?

How do you do in-game screen caps? looked through the manual and key config but couldn't see it?

Its going to depend on your screen resolution ultimately.
If you want to max it out, be sure to drop the anti aliasing down to FXAA. The rest gives massive performance hit for very little gain.

To get full graphics spec you also need to set your rig to "Very high" in the rig spec menu.

Right, AA set to just FXAA and everything else maxed at my monitors res of 1680x1050 and I get a whopping 20fps according to FRAPS.

Harsh. Are you using Crysis3 optimised drivers mate?
For AMD that's 13.2 Beta 6.

Cant comment for green team though I'm afraid.

As an aside, the Crytek devs have released a little program you can use to greatly tweak things. Its here: http://www.mycrysis.com/forums/viewt...p?f=64&t=56955

I haven't tried it, but feedback on the forums is quite good.

Using drivers I last updated for that benchmarking cat program you posted about. To be honest I'm surprised my 560Ti can cope as well as it does with it.

Awesome screen shots.

Reminds me of when the first Crysis arrived via PC.

Most GPUs couldnt handle the intense graphical content.

Well worth a rummage around then mate as they have released drivers optimised for this game specifically because its so GPU intensive.

Was on version 3.10.90, now downloading 3.14.07!

I have contemplated buying another 560Ti but can't find one at a decent price. I guess rather than buying one and then another a year later people that SLi get two at the outset?

Actually, it seems people seem to more often buy them months / years apart in most cases. it usually offers an affordable upgrade. providing you don't get obsessed with benching, there really is no need to have the latest and greatest graphics card as long as you can SLI cheaper and far more affordable models.

The only caveat I would add to the, is if you have a card that cant do DX11.1 I would bother perhaps as some titles coming out wont run without it. (Crysis3 for example)

Think those drivers made it slower lol.
Don't want to spam up your thread, but can I SLi a 1Gb non-overclocked 560Ti to my factory o/c 2Gb 560Ti? or does it have to be exactly the same card?

Sorry mate, I don't know, I only know how AMD's SLI works, sorry.
Google is likely to be your friend here.

Both cards have to hold the same data, so 1GB on the 2GB card would never be used as it would be ignored by the drivers.

You would have to mate your 2Gb 560Ti with another 2Gb 560Ti

Also to add, if you do ever SLi your cards, try and get a card that is the same speed or it will default automatically to the slower GPU.
